UCF stays hot, picks up two

UCF picked up its third commitment in a week when three-star linebacker Wendell Dunn (Miami, Fla./Palmetto) and offensive guard Wilson Bell (Prichard, Ala./Blount) committed to the Knights.

Dunn chose the Knights over offers from Akron, Connecticut, Marshall, West Virginia and Jacksonville State. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound senior recorded over 50 tackles and three interceptions this season for Palmetto before switching over to offense late in the year, catching eight passes, five for touchdowns.

He is expected to move back to outside linebacker at UCF.

Bell (6-4, 290) chose the Knights over offers from UAB, Memphis, South Alabama, Troy and Western Kentucky. UCF’s recruiting class now sits at 16 verbal commitments.

Last week the Knights secured the commitment of Cocoa (Fla.) defensive end Deondre Barnett, a 6-3, 215-pound senior that also held offers from Florida International and Georgia State.
