Jordan Wilkins talks new SEC coaches

Jordan Wilkins knows much more about his recruitment than he did a week ago. Yet he has a lot to learn.

At least the four-star tailback from Cordova (Tenn.) St. Benedict knows who will be the head coach at two schools he is considering: Auburn and Tennessee. The Volunteers hired former Cincinnati coach Butch Jones on Friday. The Tigers hired former Arkansas State coach Gus Malzahn earlier this week.

When asked about Jones shortly after the announcement, Wilkins said, "I don't know much about the coach."

He'll learn more soon. Jones and Tennessee recruiters will see to that.

When former Auburn coach Gene Chizik was fired last month, Wilkins said he would consider Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Tennessee. Wilkins originally committed to Auburn in July.

"I thought it was a good hire," he said of Auburn's decision to bring back Malzahn, who was formerly the Tigers' offensive coordinator. "Coach Malzahn is a great guy and I think he will get the job done."

When asked whether he is 100 percent committed or still looking around, Wilkins said, "Still looking."
