CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Among a strong group of running backs at the Charlotte Nike Football Training Camp, ESPN Watch List running back Caleb Kinlaw (Goose Creek, S.C.) was the one to take home positional MVP honors.
Showing quickness and ability to cut in the rain, Kinlaw was nearly as quick to name his two leaders in recruiting.
"Right now, I think Tennessee and North Carolina are my top two, but they are just slightly in front," Kinlaw said. "They have a great history of running backs, like North Carolina has a running back going to the NFL and so does Tennessee. I know I could go in there and play as a freshman or a sophomore and do well there."
Playing in an option offense at Goose Creek, Kinlaw says that he is excited about the potential chance to play in either system.
"Both of the offenses are high tempo, and I would like to be a high-tempo type of guy. There would kind of a difficult transition, but I am up for it."
While the two schools are in front, Kinlaw does not plan to make a decision soon and plans to go closer to signing day before making a final decision.
"I am waiting for more offers, and I really want to see who commits where first, but I want to narrow it down by the end of football season."
