Justin Thomason (McDonough, Ga./Eagles Landing Christian Academy) says he’s down to four schools with 14 days left until national signing day. Thomason, a three-star defensive end, has to get busy making visits, and that starts this weekend.
“I am thinking about four schools -- North Carolina, Missouri, South Carolina and Vanderbilt,” Thomason said. “I think it’s down to those four schools. I will visit UNC (Jan. 20) this weekend and Missouri (Jan. 27). I am going to have to make mid-week visits to the other schools.”
At this late point of the process does he have a leader?
“No, I don’t,” Thomason said. “I have to just make my visits and then evaluate everything from there. I know the guys at UNC because they were recruiting me when they were at Southern Miss. I am intrigued with Missouri because they are now in the SEC. Vandy has great academics, and they are recruiting very well. And South Carolina is just a very good program.”
Thomason, 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, finished his senior season with 120 tackles, 26 tackles for a loss and nine sacks. He’s the No. 126 ranked defensive end in the nation and the No. 98 prospect from the state of Georgia.
