Mobile (Ala.) McGill Toolen High School has two cornerback prospects to watch for in Class of 2013 in Jalen Square and Philbert Martial.
Square plays safety but will likely play cornerback in college, according to his head coach Bart Sessions.
“He’s 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds,” Sessions said. “He’s a safety for us but will be a cornerback. In fact we will play him at corner this spring. Arkansas State has already offered while teams like Louisiana Tech and Troy are showing a lot of interest.”
Martial is a talented player that not many know about outside the city of Mobile.
“The problem with Martial is that no one threw the ball his way last season. No one,” Sessions said. “So there’s not much I can put on film for him unless it’s stuff in the kick return game. He’s 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds. He’s physical and can run. This kid is a great athlete. At this point Arkansas State is showing the most interest. I am telling you, this kid can play Division I football.”
