With one SEC scholarship offer in hand, Vincent Hunter is hoping for another.
The offensive guard from Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven has scholarship offers from Arkansas and Memphis but he's also hoping for an invite from Ole Miss.
“It's close to home and they have good people there,” the 6-foot-5, 325-pound junior said.
The Rebels, if they offer, have some ground to make up. Hunter admitted that Arkansas leads for his services despite the fact that Memphis is the hometown team.
“They've been talking to me since ninth grade. I just kind of grew close to them,” said Hunter who added that he's also heard from Nebraska and Michigan.
“I never knew it would come this far,” Hunter said of his recruitment. “I thank all my coaches for letting me have the opportunity.”
Hunter said he will announce his decision during his senior season after he visits some schools this summer and possibly after he takes some official visits this fall.
