Defensive back Taylor Taliulu (Aiea, Hawaii) committed last summer to Washington State and said despite the coaching change, he’s still very solid with the Cougars.
Taliulu is a talented safety prospect who camped with the Cougars last summer and committed a few days later.
“I’m definitely sticking with Washington State,” Taliulu said. “Paul Wulff and his staff really made me want to be a Coug and even though they’re gone, I still love the program. I haven’t talked to Coach Leach yet to see if they’re honoring my scholarship but I really hope they will.
“Mike Leach is a great coach from seeing what he has done in the past and I think he can take the program to the next level. I think Coach Leach will build this program up and I think the pieces are already in place. Coach Wulff recruited some good players so they have some young talent already there. The team got better and better as the season went on and like I said, I really hope I can still be a part of the program.”
