Malik Watson (Pittsburg, Calif.) is one of the top un-committed quarterbacks in the west region. The signal-caller has a handful of offers, but is still holding out hope for an offer from his dream school.
Watson has offers from Idaho, Montana and Northern Arizona and recently picked up a greyshirt offer from a Pac-12 school.
“Oregon State has offered me as a greyshirt,” Watson said. “I’m definitely interested in that but also like Idaho and think I could play early there. I’m still waiting on Cal too and that’s kind of a dream school for me. I know they already have a quarterback in Zach Kline, but I’m still hoping for an offer or at least a greyshirt offer.
“I’ve liked Cal for a long time and I’ve been talking with Coach Arroyo on facebook. I need to send him my senior film but I truly feel Cal is where God wants me to be and I have a strong faith so hopefully it happens. I’m still going to keep my backup options open but Cal is definitely where I want to be.”
