Wide receiver Bryce Treggs (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco) said he had a great experience on his weekend visit to Notre Dame but is still looking solid to the Cal Bears.
Treggs previously visited Arizona State but called the visit to South Bend a once in a lifetime experience.
“I’ve always wanted to visit Notre Dame and watch a game live,” Treggs said. “It’s one of those things you put on your bucket list and I had a great time. This place is incredible, you can just feel the tradition when you walk around the campus and the football stadium.
“Some of the best football players to ever play the game played at Notre Dame so I really had a lot of fun there. The game atmosphere was the best I’ve ever been around by far and even though they made a lot of mistakes, the fan support never wavered, it was pretty amazing.”
Treggs spent a lot of time with the Irish coaching staff and said he connected well with the players on the team. Saying that, don’t look for the receiver to decommit any time soon.
“As much as I loved Notre Dame, I’m still solid with Cal,” Treggs said. “I’m not wavering and I’m still locked in with the Bears. Notre Dame is a school a lot of people dream about playing for but for me, Cal was that school.
“I just wanted to take my visits and see what else is out there, have something to compare Cal with. ASU and Notre Dame were great visits but Cal is still my school and I don’t know if I’ll take any other visits. No one else is really recruiting me right now so my Cal visit in December could be it.”
