OL Kenny Lacy commits to UCLA

UCLA knew it could make a statement with a win over Nebraska and capitalize on the positive momentum that would create. Not only did the victory move the Bruins into the top 25 in the AP poll, the first aftershock was felt Monday morning as offensive lineman Kenny Lacy (Phoenix, Ariz./Mountain Pointe) -- who was at UCLA during the weekend on an official visit -- announced via Twitter that he committed to UCLA.

Previously, Lacy had narrowed his final group to Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, California, Nebraska, Oklahoma and UCLA, but his relationship with Bruins offensive line coach Adrian Klemm and the school in general proved to be enough to make an early commitment. Lacy will still take official visits to Arkansas and Nebraska, and his Oklahoma trip could remain scheduled as well.

The addition bolsters an already-strong group of offensive linemen in the 2013 class for UCLA, as Lacy is the fifth big man on that side of the ball to commit. He is verbal commitment No. 12 for the Bruins overall.
