The Oregon State Beavers continue to hammer California's Inland Empire, as Mike Riley's program earned a commitment from cornerback Walter Jones (Redlands, Calif./Redlands) on Wednesday.
Jones is the sixth player from the region in Oregon State's eight-member 2013 class thus far.
He announced his commitment via twitter, with a simple message: "Just committed to Oregon State!! #gobeavs"
The 6-foot, 175-pound Jones has pitched in on both sides of the ball for the 4-1 Terriers this season, with 12 catches for 289 yards and three touchdowns, as well as 16 tackles, one sack, one interception and four pass breakups. Jones is the third defensive back in the Beavers' class and another big addition as Oregon State looks to make more of an impact in Southern California.
Jones also held offers from Colorado State, Nevada, Utah and Washington State.
