Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian defensive back Ishmael Adams took an official visit to Arizona State last weekend. It was the second time Adams has visited the Sun Devils this season.
Adams, a four-star recruit and the No. 12 cornerback in the nation, is essentially down to two schools at the moment. He visited Notre Dame a month ago but doesn’t seem too enamored of the Irish at the moment. UCLA is hanging in there but this one will likely come down to ASU and Cal.
“I had a good visit to ASU,” Adams said. “I took an unofficial visit for the USC game earlier this year but I got to spend a lot more time on campus this time obviously. I got to hang out with the players on the team more and see more of the actual university.
“Michael Eubank was my host and he’s a real cool guy. He’s a big ol' quarterback and is going to be a good one. I already knew some of the players on the team from my unofficial visit so it was cool to have that familiarity. I also got to sit down with the head of the science department since I want to major in dentistry and that was very informative as well. Overall, I really liked it there and ASU is high on my list.”
Adams just has one more visit scheduled and will make his decision in early January.
“I’m going to Cal (Dec. 9),” Adams said. “ASU and Cal are my top two and I’ll make my decision at the Army All-American game January 7. Right now, I’m just gathering information and trying to figure out where the best spot for me will be.”
