Upland, Calif., wide out Kenny Lawler has made quite a few changes to his short list and also moved back his official visit that was scheduled for this weekend.
Lawler was scheduled to visit Cal this weekend but said that trip will now take place in January.
“I’m going to take that visit to Cal the first weekend after the dead period now,” Lawler said. “I think that’s Jan. 6 and that’s the only one I’ve set up so far. I’ve already been to Arizona State and Washington, but ASU is out now, and so is Nebraska.
“Washington is still in, along with Cal, Michigan State, Oregon State and now UCLA. Jim Mora called me last night, and we had a good talk. He seems like a good guy, and I like the staff he’s putting together. He has a couple of ASU guys that I know, [Steve] Broussard and [Noel] Mazzone, but I’m curious to see who he brings in as a receiver coach.”
Lawler said he would like to take the rest of his visits before making a decision. The receiver had a big senior year catching 53 passes for 1,267 yards and 12 touchdowns.
