Standout safety Patrick Enewally (Cerritos, Calif./Gahr) isn't sure how his recruitment will play out or when it will end, but the 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete knows that today's events -- specifically, a scholarship offer from UCLA -- altered things quite a bit.
"It changed it up a lot," Enewally said of the Bruins entering the picture. "That's a great offer. It's close to home and that's an outstanding school."
Enewally said he was aware an offer could be on the way. He is in regular communication with defensive backs coach Demetrice Martin and speaks with head coach Jim Mora quite a bit as well. He also attended several UCLA home games this season on unofficial visits.
Arizona and Boise State are still in the mix as well, in addition to other programs. The Broncos received an official visit earlier this month, while Enewally hopes to take an official visit this weekend to see the Wildcats host USC.
While he is a standout safety, Enewally said most programs are recruiting him as a cornerback, which suits him just fine.
"If a school wants me to play either spot, that's fine," he said. "But a lot of school like me as a big cornerback."
