STAFFORD, Texas -- Wide receiver Hezekiah Jones received his Under Armour All-America Game jersey Thursday in a presentation sponsored by American Family Insurance at Stafford High School in Southwest Houston.
“It means a lot to be an Under Armour All-American,” said Jones. “Knowing the recent alums of the game such as Julio Jones, A.J. Green and Amari Cooper and the steps they took to get where they are right now means a lot to get to try and follow in their footsteps.”

In January, the two-sport budding star with 21.2 200-meter speed will enroll at Texas A&M. The fit is a near perfect one.
“I picked A&M because it’s a strong school for football and academics. They play in the SEC West, which is the strongest conference in college football. The offensive scheme fits me, and I think the coaches are going to be there for a long time,”
Four questions with Hezekiah Jones:
What players are you looking forward to competing with or against at the Under Armour All America game?
"All of them really. I’ve grown up with Grant Delpit since I was a little kid, so going up against him would be like back yard football.”
What is your earliest football memory?
"When I was in middle school football, my quarterback Antonio Jackson and I both got selected to play in the Football University all-star game. Seeing both of us do good things then coming from Fort Bend County was cool.”
What number do you wear, and why?
"I wear 9 on the field. It’s a coincidence because my little league team was the Fort Bend Titans, and at the time Vince Young was my favorite player. He wore No. 10, but I couldn’t get that number, so I went with 9.”
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
"People probably don’t know I like to hang around my friends a lot. I’m with my friends and teammates all the time because I love them.”
