McShay Mock 3.0: Bengals

Todd McShay’s third 2014 NFL mock draft is out on ESPN Insider today.

While I still contend that quarterback is the Bengals’ No. 1 need, I am betting they don’t agree with me and won’t even consider a signal caller in Round 1. Outside of a replacement for Andy Dalton, the offense is more or less set.

On defense, former defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer was a master of getting great play from ordinary members of his secondary, but he is now the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. Safety is a need for sure, but the cupboard is quite bare at cornerback. The best defensive back available could be going to Cincinnati.
