Will Cowboys trade up for D-line help?

Jerry Jones opted against blowing up Twitter and creating one of the great instant quarterback controversies ever when the Dallas Cowboys chose Zack Martin instead of Johnny Manziel at No. 16 Thursday. What are his plans for Day 2?

"In draft news… the #Cowboys are looking to make a big move up the 2nd round draft board to secure front 7 help, I’m told," NFL.com's Ian Rapoport tweeted.

It's no surprise that Jones wants to stock up on the defensive side of the ball after ranking as the worst D in the league last season.

ESPN NFL Insider Mel Kiper Jr. gave the Cowboys Missouri DE Kony Ealy at No. 47 in his second-round mock draft.

Jones noted that he may still take the best player available, regardless of need. Of course, if he is able to trade up in the second round, then maybe he can get the best D-lineman available:

Cowboys' time to focus on defense

"Several defensive line options remain, including Demarcus Lawrence, Kony Ealy, Timmy Jernigan and Scott Crichton. The Cowboys had each of them in for a visit to Valley Ranch before the draft. Of the group, Lawrence would fill the more pressing need at right defensive end."
