Will 2014 be the year Christine Michael breaks out of the shadows of Marshawn Lynch and puts together a big year? Some believe it could be, while others like myself see 2015 as a more realistic time frame for the former second-round pick to have a breakout season in Seattle.
Regardless of when it happens, there is a popular belief that Michael's time to flourish will come. How vast is his upside? Perhaps higher than some might realize.
"When Christine Michael gets his chance regular season '14, provided he's healthy, he'll show he's the most gifted RB drafted in past 5 yrs."
"Have said B4..Strength coach at A&M, who trained both Michael and A.Peterson, told me Christine's athletic explosiveness is on par with A.P."
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll had some nice things to say about the way Seattle's promising second-year running back has performed during OTAs.
"Christine has made the most progress, but he has the farthest to come," Carroll said. "It's just a little bit of everything and maturing into the role. It's hard for guys who have been star players to come in a fit into a back-up position and understand how you have to focus and study. There was a separation between him and the other guys, but he's really closed in on them now."
