Are Cardinals in need of an inside 'backer?

As Josh Weinfuss expounds upon in his article on Kevin Minter, the Arizona Cardinals' second-year linebacker has his work cut out for him.

Minter will need to fill the void of Daryl Washington (suspended) and Karlos Dansby (now with the Cleveland Browns) from a defensive play-calling and leadership perspective. Minter played just one defensive snap last year, but given what he showed at LSU, those traits should not be difficult for Minter to eventually excel at.

“It's like being in college all over again,” he said. “Doing all the adjustments, making all the calls and stuff like that, and being the guy that they depend on to run the show. It's cool. It's pretty humbling. It's nice."

But I have other concerns about Minter.
