More backfield work for Knile Davis?

As Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star notes, the Kansas City Chiefs are "expecting more" from second-year RB Knile Davis. So is that true or just lip service?

Well, Davis isn't the player that Jamaal Charles is, but he does have a lot of ability in his own right, and the Chiefs would be smart to increase his role in 2014. I hate to say it, but I fear 2013 will be the best season of Charles' career going forward. That isn't a knock on him at all, but he isn't an especially big or strong back, and he'll turn 28 in December. Don't get me wrong, Charles looks as good as ever. He's still a great player and clearly is the foundation of Kansas City's offense. But speed is still probably his greatest asset, and that's about the age when speed, acceleration and elusiveness begin to fade.
