The New England Patriots released Brandon Lloyd back in March, a move that by some accounts was based primarily on finances, not necessarily a lack of ability. Granted, he didn't live up to the expectations many of us had for him as a Patriot, but he still pulled in 74 passes for 911 yards and 4 TDs in 2012. Those are hardly awful numbers, especially when considering the under-talented wideouts some teams are planing to put on the field this fall. Yet, the 2013 NFL season is a week away and Lloyd remains a free agent.
