It may already be hackneyed to say it, but the days of quarterbacks biding their time as a backup to a veteran before eventually taking the reins (e.g., Aaron Rodgers) appear to be over. Facts are facts: seven quarterbacks who were drafted this year or last year started NFL games in Week 1. By those standards, a player like third-year QB Terrelle Pryor, who made his second career start Sunday, seems like a crafty veteran.
