McClain's next stop

At one point in time, Rolando McClain was foreseen as the kind of building block defender that could be the heart of an NFL defense. The Oakland Raiders invested the No. 8 pick in the 2010 draft on him, and in spite of racking up 244 tackles in three seasons, he wasn't the difference-maker they thought he'd be. That lack of on-field production -- coupled with some malfeasance off the field -- led the Raiders to first try to trade him, then waive him.
