Rangers in on Ryan Kesler?

This year's trade deadline fiesta got off to a somewhat unsurprising start, with Ryan Miller dealt to the St. Louis Blues in a deal that some had forecast back in the fall.

But there was also a wild twist last week, when it was reported that Vancouver Canucks forward Ryan Kesler had interest in being traded. While the reports on where he'll land -- and how much it'll take to land him -- have varied, there has been some sense that the Pittsburgh Penguins (whose GM, Ray Shero, is never afraid to go big at the deadline) are the frontrunners to win the Kesler lottery.

But new information has come to light regarding a Metropolitan Division rival -- the New York Rangers -- also being in the mix.
