Shorthanded Wild mulling callup

If injured forward Cal Clutterbuck can't go against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday, the Minnesota Wild will recall a player from their AHL affiliate in Houston, according to Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Clutterbuck took a stick to the head in the first period of Minnesota's shootout loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday, played three more shifts, and then didn't return to the Wild bench. If he's unavailable this weekend, candidates to replace him include Charlie Coyle, Jason Zucker, Johan Larsson, Justin Fontaine and Stephane Veilleux.

"My guess is Larsson or Zucker," writes Russo.
