The Winnipeg Free Press reports the 32-year-old center felt okay after taking part in Jets' practice for the first time Wednesday.
"We'll see how it responds," Antropov said Wednesday. "Today it felt good. I'm optimistic for the weekend."
It being an upper-body injury sustained while competing in the KHL during the lockout.
Even if Antropov misses time, it shouldn't amount to more than a game or two. And the Jets can utilize 19-year-old Mark Scheifele for up to five games without burning the first year of his entry-level contract. Whether Scheifele sticks around beyond the five-game limit is another story altogether.
