Not only will Detroit Red Wings rookie Damien Brunner miss Friday's game against the Colorado Avalanche, there's no telling when the Swiss forward might return to the lineup, according to Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press.
Brunner, whose 11 goals co-lead the Wings along with Pavel Datsyuk, has already missed one game with the sore hip flexor. He skated for about 15 minutes on Thursday but the session didn't go well, St. James reports.
"I tried," Brunner, 27, told the paper. "I thought it was going to be better, but it felt not that good. It's actually been bothering me since a couple of weeks. It got worse the last two games, and we'll see how it goes."
