UPDATE: Damien Brunner would certainly seem like a logical fit for the New Jersey Devils. After all, the gifted forward out of Switzerland proved he could be a solid producer in his first NHL effort, managing 26 points for the Red Wings during the 2012-13 regular season, then leading the club with 5 goals in the playoffs. And, in the understatement of the year, the Devils could certainly use some help up front. Following the loss of Ilya Kovalchuk, they have a glaring void to fill and the cap space to make something happen. According to Tom Gulitti of The Record, however, Neil Sheehy -- Brunner's agent -- says there is "nothing imminent" just yet.
