Best bets for Wednesday's NBA games

Devin Booker and the Suns trail the Jazz by 2.5 games in the West. Joe Camporeale/USA TODAY Sports

We are already into the second half of the NBA season, but there are still plenty of betting opportunities. ESPN has a doubleheader with the Pelicans visiting the Nets followed by the Suns hosting the Jazz. Our analysts -- Doug Kezirian (17-6), Joe Fortenbaugh (8-4), Andre Snellings (27-14) and Tyler Fulghum (18-16) -- are here to give their best bets from Wednesday's nine-game slate.

Wednesday's games

Memphis Grizzlies at Atlanta Hawks (-2, 229)

Fulghum: The Hawks have climbed to the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference while the Grizz are clinging to dear life as the eight seed in the West. I think the Grizzlies are the better team, however, all things considered. They surprisingly have the seventh-ranked team in the league in defensive rating. Ja Morant should have no trouble getting around Trae Young, and the Hawks are missing three key rotation pieces at the moment (John Collins, De'Andre Hunter, Cam Reddish), while Memphis is relatively healthy.
