QB Montel Cozart building reputation

September, 30, 2011
As Bishop Miege (Roeland Park, Kan.) prepares for Friday night's road test against St. Thomas Aquinas (Overland Park, Kan.), quarterback Montel Cozart continues to earn his reputation as a player to watch in the Class of 2013.

Cozart, a dual-threat signal-caller for the Stags, has built a name around the Eastern Kansas League. He has nearly 1,200 yards of total offense through four games, and he now has opposing defenses trying to find ways to contain him.

"He's a smart player. We put a lot on the table for him with different checks and different protection and coverage reads," Bishop Miege coach Tim Grunhard said of Cozart. "He's able to handle that, and he's able to make the right decisions."
