N.D.'s slow start not hurting recruiting

September, 19, 2011
It didn't take long for Notre Dame to ease any concerns about how its 1-2 start would affect recruiting for its 2012 class and beyond. It'd be tough to imagine the Fighting Irish having a better weekend as far as recruiting goes, securing commitments for two separate classes.

On Sunday, three-star Hanahan, S.C., wide receiver Chris Brown committed to the Irish after visiting for Saturday's win against Michigan State. Brown was a Notre Dame lean and the visit cemented him on the Irish.

Before Notre Dame's win on Saturday, offensive lineman Steve Elmer, one of the top juniors in Michigan, also committed to the Irish.
