Ohio State Offense vs. Michigan Defense
Ohio State offensive coordinator Jim Bollman and Michigan defensive coordinator Ron English won't waste much time studying last year's game film. Both units have tweaked their schemes in the wake of drastic personnel changes from a season ago. QB Troy Smith shredded Michigan's star-studded defense in the 42-39 victory at The Horseshoe. While English's unit is not nearly as talented, it should match up better versus a more traditional Ohio State attack at The Big House. The Wolverine's first priority is to contain the Buckeye ground attack and English knows this will be no easy task. Chris Wells has emerged as a legitimate premier back, averaging 5.8 yards per carry with 12 rushing touchdowns on the season. The Buckeyes also have a solid backup in Maurice Wells, who protects the ball well and will pick up available yards when he's in the game.
