Boston College coach Jeff Hafley has received a contract extension through the 2026 season, the school announced Monday.
Hafley, 42, has led the Eagles to bowl eligibility in each of his first two seasons. BC declined to participate in a bowl game last season because of the coronavirus pandemic.
At 6-6 this season, the Eagles await their bowl destination Sunday.
"Jeff has had a tremendous impact on our football program over just two seasons at the Heights," athletic director Pat Kraft said in a statement. "He has built a strong culture, both on and off the field, recruited talented student-athletes and helped us build meaningful relationships for the entire Boston College community. We are excited for the future of BC football under Jeff's leadership."
