Steve Muench and Kevin Weidl of Scouts Inc. break down all kinds of tape on the nation's top college players while evaluating prospects for the NFL draft. But they don't always agree. So we asked them to take sides in picking which players, position groups and teams they like better in a series of head-to-head debates.

Question: Which ACC title game quarterback is better, Tajh Boyd or Logan Thomas?

MUENCH: First, let's acknowledge that heading into their ACC championship game matchup against the Virginia Tech Hokies, the Clemson Tigers have lost three of their last four games, and QB Tajh Boyd comes in having completed fewer than 40 percent of his passes in the season finale against South Carolina. However, given his overall skill set and total body of work, I think Boyd is a better quarterback than his Hokies counterpart Logan Thomas.

WEIDL: I can certainly appreciate Boyd's talent, but I've had a chance to see Thomas play live three times this season, and the turnaround he's made since Virginia Tech's Oct. 1 loss to Clemson has been impressive (he's thrown 14 touchdown passes and just two interceptions). I prefer the guy who comes into a title game with momentum on his side.
