Missouri TE Okwuegbunam entering NFL draft

Missouri tight end Albert Okwuegbunam announced Monday that he is entering the NFL draft. The 2018 John Mackey Award finalist is ranked by ESPN's Mel Kiper as the No. 6 tight end among draft prospects.

Missouri announces coach Barry Odom's dismissal. Athletic director Jim Sterk statement: "As a program, we had tremendous momentum coming into the 2019 season with the opening of the new south end zone facility as well as other strategic investments in our football program. However, we lost a great deal of that energy during the last half of the season. This decision was difficult to make but was necessary."

SOURCES: Missouri has fired coach Barry Odom after four seasons. PowerMizzou.com first reported the news. Athletic director Jim Sterk informed the coaching staff this morning. Odom finishes 25-25. The Tigers completed their season Friday at 6-6.

Powell, Missouri snap 5-game skid with win over Arkansas

Third-string quarterback Taylor Powell came off the bench Friday and led Missouri to three scoring drives and a come-from-behind 24-14 win over Arkansas, snapping the Tigers’ five-game losing streak in both teams’ season finale.

Missouri's 2019 bowl ban upheld after appeal

Missouri's bowl ban for this season has been upheld by an NCAA appeals committee, the school announced Tuesday. The Tigers, at 5-6 overall, could have qualified for a bowl game by beating Arkansas on Friday.
