Sindelar's 5 passing TDs help Purdue top Vanderbilt

Elijah Sindelar passed for 509 yards and five touchdowns and ran for another TD in Purdue's 42-24 victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday. Purdue speedy sophomore Rondale Moore caught 13 passes for 220 yards, both career highs.

After Georgia raced out to a quick 21-0 lead, the Bulldogs' offense had a much tougher time finishing off drives and struggled converting on third down. They didn't need their passing game, especially with D'Andre Swift and teammates gashing Vanderbilt on the ground. But you can be sure there will be questions about finding more balance and being better on third down after the Vanderbilt game.

Georgia scored on its first three possessions against Vanderbilt, with new faces James Cook, Demetris Robertson and Lawrence Cager making meaningful contributions. But some sloppy play on defense late in the first half, including several penalties, drew Kirby Smart's ire.
