Sources: Western Kentucky has fired coach Mike Sanford after just two seasons and a 9-16 record. SB Nation first reported the decision. There had been talk in recent weeks of a change, but Sanford appeared safe after winning his last two games to finish 3-9. Sanford took over from Jeff Brohm, who led Western Kentucky on a record run over three years.
