Coaching carousel and recruiting

The coaching carousel figures to start spinning soon, so we asked ESPN Insider Travis Haney to provide us with a couple of coaching moves that could potentially happen (with the emphasis on "potentially") in the coming weeks, and had RecruitingNation's Jeremy Crabtree look at the potential recruiting ramifications for each.

The scenario: Kevin Sumlin takes the USC job, is replaced at Texas A&M by Chad Morris
This is really a three-for-one scenario, as the USC coaching situation and whether Kevin Sumlin and Chad Morris move on to other jobs are three of the biggest upcoming storylines to watch. As I reported last week, a source told me that USC is prepared to offer as much as $6 million a year to secure its next coach. If that price is right for Sumlin, he would make a lot of sense for USC as it tries to make up ground in its own city, let alone the Pac-12. In my book, anyone who uses the term "SwagCopter" is a perfect fit for Hollywood.

If he does go, Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris -- a Texas high school football coach from 1994 to 2009 -- could be the right guy to try to sustain what Sumlin has already done at A&M. He figures to be a hot head-coaching commodity, whether the Aggies job comes open or not.
