Key 2015 recruiting questions

Every team has holes to fill with the 2015 recruiting class, but some teams have bigger needs than others. Then there are the programs that have to answer major questions after the Class of 2014 left a sour taste in their mouths.

Here's a look at 25 teams with the biggest question marks that need to be answered through recruiting before the 2015 national signing day.

Alabama Crimson Tide
Even recruiting juggernaut Alabama has questions that have to be answered with this year's class. Alabama saw from experience over the past two seasons that it must continue to target hybrid defenders to defend the hurry-up/no-huddle offense after its three losses over that time came against teams that used that style. That's why Nick Saban must continue to find guys like Rashaan Evans, who can play outside linebacker and rush the passer. Opponents aren't going to move away from the fast-paced systems, so it's paramount for Bama to find these types of defenders on the recruiting trail in order to be slow down those offenses.

Auburn Tigers
Losing local star Evans still stings for the Tigers, and his decision will be a big factor in the 2015 class. Auburn desperately needed somebody to fill the gap at the star position, a hybrid linebacker/defensive back in the Tigers' defense, and Evans was supposed to be that guy. Yes, they did land Derrick Moncrief, but as a juco transfer he's only a short-term solution. Auburn is off to a good start in 2015 with the addition of linebacker Elijah Sullivan (Tucker, Ga./Tucker), but more depth is needed at the spot for the Tigers to remain one of the best defenses in the SEC and the country.
