ARLINGTON, Texas -- D.J. Fluker was pumping his fist and shouting at his fellow offensive linemen as the Crimson Tide busied themselves putting the finishing touches on a dominating performance over the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday night.
Up 20 points with 6 minutes remaining, the Alabama drive had gotten inside the 10-yard line. Fluker, Bama's heartiest voice in the trenches, wanted to punch the ball into the end zone one final time.
Reserve running back Jalston Folwer rumbled to the 1-yard line and the coaching staff signaled for a power formation that called for two tight ends and two H-backs.
