Ex-Tide coach finds success

As Anthony Grant and the Crimson Tide prepare for their second round game against Creighton, the UA head coach may try to get away and watch the opening game on Thursday between Murray State and Colorado State.

The No. 6 vs. No. 11 matchup features a Murray State team who lost just one game all year. It's a team that plays a fast, up-tempo style that is fun to watch. But for Grant, it's not about that. The game features one of his former coaches, James Kane, who is now an assistant with the Racers.

"He's just a guy that has a passion for basketball and is willing to do anything to help the team be successful," Grant said of Kane. "I'm just really happy for him and proud of the success that he's enjoying."
