Florida has bright spot at linebacker

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- In a season filled with disappointments and unfulfilled expectations, one of the few bright spots in 2011 was the play of Florida's linebackers.

Jonathan Bostic and Jelani Jenkins had the best seasons of their careers, Lerentee McCray was solid, and young players Michael Taylor and Darrin Kitchens showed they have the potential to become reliable players in the future. It's a position that, unlike most others on the roster, has good depth and doesn't need to be overhauled.

UF coach Will Muschamp should feel pretty good about this group being the foundation of his defense in 2012, because there's still a lot of questions about the defensive line and the secondary.
