GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- One of Florida's best players during bowl practices was one of its most disappointing players during the season.
Sophomore defensive end/linebacker Ronald Powell has drawn praise from UF head coach Will Muschamp and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn for what he has done since the Gators ended the regular season with a loss to Florida State. Powell has been more active and better fundamentally than he has been all season, they said.
"I told him the other day I thought he had his best practice since we've been here," Muschamp said. "[Powell has been better] as far as his pad level, his hand placement, affecting the quarterback in the rush."
