Who is Georgia's top remaining target for the offensive line? Is the fate of Richt's future in Athens affecting recruiting? DawgNation answers those questions and more in this week's Recruiting Mailbag.
OCDawg77: I know it's still early, but if coach Mark Richt and company are at UGA next year do you think Tramel Terry signs with us in the end?
A: It's very possible, but any rumors of coaching instability probably had little effect on Terry's recent decommitment. The blazing 2013 wide receiver's recruitment has been a roller coaster ride from the start, with Terry (Goose Creek, S.C./Goose Creek) favoring South Carolina early then making a surprise commitment to Georgia at Dawg Night and most recently decommitting from Georgia to reopen his recruitment. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound junior admitted he got caught up in the moment when two of his friends, 2013 running back Derrick Henry (Yulee, Fla./Yulee) and 2013 quarterback Brice Ramsey (Kingsland, Ga./Camden County) , also committed to the Bulldogs. Terry is a top in-state target of the Gamecocks, and other programs such as Clemson, Florida and Alabama will have their chance to pull in Terry before all is said and done. He has a lot of interest in Georgia, but his recruitment is far from over. Expect a battle, with Georgia having as good a shot as anyone right now.
