ATHENS, Ga. -- The Georgia coaches hit the road during the bye week, taking in games that featured many of their top targets. On Saturday, tight ends coach John Lilly was in Roswell, N.M., to see Scottsdale Community College tight end Blake Jackson, one of the top junior college prospects in the country.
"It was twice as exciting having Coach Lilly on the sideline, especially knowing I will be visiting the entire coaching staff in a couple of weeks," Jackson said. "I definitely wanted to put on a show for him."
Despite the 52-39 loss to New Mexico Military Institute, the 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect did not disappoint. Jackson had 10 catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Through nine games, he has 51 catches for 780 yards and 13 touchdowns. Jackson's success on the field has led to close to 20 offers, with three programs standing out.
