Editor's note: Every Monday in Four Downs, we'll tally up the recent winners and losers from the football recruiting world to tip off your week.
This week, the winners come from all over the map and from both on and off the trail.
Alabama scored a big commitment deep in the heart of Texas from Zach Whitley Jr., and his pledge was significant for a number of teams. Also what does quarterback Kyle Allen's rise with recruiters mean to home-state schools Arizona and Arizona State? And who loses now that Georgia is being more aggressive with its offers to 2015 and 2016 recruits? Off the trail, the NCAA tabled a number of proposals that would have dramatically altered the way schools recruited student-athletes. College coaches applauded the decision, but it was a move that leaves somebody looking really bad.
