Hoke starts well on recruiting trail

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The decision to hire former Michigan defensive line coach Brady Hoke initially was puzzling to the fan base, if only because people didn't know about his achievements and the positives he could bring to the table.

Despite the confusion and occasional backlash, Hoke's former players were public in their support of Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon's decision. The former players knew what Hoke was going to bring to the program because they had seen it from the inside.

Fast forward about eight months and now you could hear a pin drop if fans were asked whether they had any displeasure with the hiring. With 22 commitments secured for the 2012 class, and one for 2013, Hoke and his staff have done everything right this offseason.
