Going into this season, most analysts and fans were expecting a good but not great season for Michigan. Had the Wolverines gotten nine wins, fans would have been satisfied for the most part, depending on how those wins came.
The team came out firing early, though, and got off to a 6-0 start. The excitement was rising, but slowly so were the expectations. After finishing the season at 10-2, the thoughts of rebuilding or transitioning have gone out the window.
Michigan has built up a good amount of momentum that already has fans talking about the potential for next year. It also has resonated with the commitments coach Brady Hoke and his staff have secured for the 2012 recruiting class.
