WR commit beacon to family

HARPER WOODS, Mich. -- The kid they called "Moose" once played football only for himself. Csont'e York (Harper Woods, Mich./Chandler Park Academy) was, admittedly, hardheaded and excitable, a force to be reckoned with on and off the field. And the nickname was equally descriptive of his play as it was about his attitude.

Today, it's easy for the 2013 wide receiver commit to admit that, with a laugh, he was a bit of a brat and know-it-all. Hindsight is always 20/20, and he knows he has come a long way.

In August, he'll enroll at the University of Michigan and become the first person in his family to attend college. He has made it through the death of his mother, a number of family moves, and out of Detroit with a positive attitude. And through all of this, what he keeps closest to his heart is his family.
