ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- This game, this week, will always be the most important for Michigan and its second-year coach, Brady Hoke. Ohio State has been the emphasis through at least the last four Wolverines coaches, from Bo Schembechler on.
A season ago, Hoke snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Buckeyes, resulting in a field-storming for the Wolverines and a berth in the Sugar Bowl. This season, the stakes just might be higher.
Ohio State (11-0) is playing for a perfect season. Michigan has an outside shot at a BCS bowl berth if it wins. Plus, the Wolverines have not won in Columbus since 2000.
